Shift Athirapally Project to Munnamkadavu, Kasaragod
Athirapally project is a great Threat to Rainforest Sorrounding it. Then why can'nt it shift to Kasaragod, where there is no National Park and 22% of the geographical area is 'waste land'. If dam is shifted to kasaragod, it will create more area for afforestation (After relocating the people for dam purpose). we can create a wild life sanctuary here. Why some polititians so much interested in Athirapally or new dam in Mullaperiyar? Because they all want a new dam for their district. There are 12 rivers in kasaragod but no any dam. political Leaders from our district should answer it. Our MLAs and MPs should have a strong passion for our district and should pressure south keralite dominated secretariate to build new dams in Kasaragod and stop neglecting this district anymore. It also solve water shortage problem for this district.
