There are discussion going on for a Greater Talacauveri NP / Biosphere reserve comprising Talacaveri, Brahmagiri and pushpagiri wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka. Kerala Forest department should take action for inclusion of some reserve forests of kasaragod-kanhangad range under proposed biosphere / NP in oreder to better protection of the forest and its wildlife. Panathady RF and Ranipuram shola forest is contigous to Talacaveri wildlife snactuary in Karnataka and there fore it is very important to include in the new biosphere.
