We want Dam to create a Wildlife Sanctuary sorrounding its reservoir

There is no major Dam in the district and therefore no wildlife sanctuary? Ironically, most of the WLS of kerala located on the dam reservoir area. If any dam is proposed in the kasaragod district, will it create a new wildlife sanctuary? The answer is yes. The district has 11 rivers. The ecosystem of the district is already destroyed because of an intense deforestation and encroachment. This dam could be useful to the farmers and a permanent solution for watershortage problem of the district. Large portion of the rehabilated area is used for afforestation and greenary. A slight protest from the local people can easily divert dream projects to southern district as seen in the past and label kasaragod as a 'backward district'. Dams are future wetlands and new WLS / bird sanctuary will come sorounding the Munnamkadavu dam reservoir in Kasaragod.
Land & sand mafia protest against the 500 crore dream project of the District
If the dam protesters really want protect the biodiversity of the kasaragod, why do they support the hill high way , Bandadukka-sullya high way and pulingom -Bhagamandala road? Roads are great threats to the forests and more Resreved forests are being cut while making these roads. where is Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishath who protests against the dam? why dont they protest against these roads which are really threat to the forest and wildlife of kasaragod district? Aren't they seen many illegal quarries operating at the edge of the reserve forests?

Man-Animal conflict in kasaragod district

Strangely the munnamkadavu dam protesters, most of them are migrants, who diverted their paddy field to other crops due to water shortage problem (because of lack of an Irrigation facility / major dam?). Forests encroachers who are living in the fringesa of the reserve forest, dont want any wild elephant, deer or wildpigs here in kasaragod because they are great threat to their crops. elephants are well protcted in karnataka and other part of kerala, but not in kasaragod. But most of these wild animals are endangered and protected under shedule-I of wild life act.
